Squirrel!

I saw a squirrel scurry away upon seeing me this morning.

Upon some inspection, I saw this… a half eaten heliconia flower!

Hmmm.. its going to have a field day come harvest time for my tomatoes!!!

This is my new heliconia marginata that I am rather excited about. I haven’t been able to find it in nurseries for a long time.

And suddenly, it also dawned on me...

I found an apple core (the apple flesh was nibbled clean) lying on the floor some weeks back. I was extremely puzzled then but I didn’t really pursue it as I really couldn’t see who could have thrown it onto my roof terrace.

Not my neighbours, and definitely not the husband.

He doesn’t eat apples.

Mystery solved now!

Squirrel is quite cute. But once it starts stealing my tomatoes, maybe I wouldn’t find it so cute anymore!
